I’m delighted to have been given a studio space at Arches Studios, Southampton.
This is going to have a big impact on my practice which up to now, has been in the front room of my home. I have been craving the company of other artists, especially during these last few years of Covid Lockdown.

We are very excited to present ‘In Formation’, the second exhibition of a group of artists who met through the Turps Correspondence course 20/21 and who put on their first show ‘In Response’ during September 2021. ‘In Formation’ refers to a nascent sense of this group’s identity and to the mutating nature of each artist’s own formation as something grounding in a world full of flux. The Thames-Side Studios Gallery is an exciting and expansive space situated among a large complex of artist studios, that offers the perfect environment in which to showcase the breadth and diverse nature of the group’s work. ‘In Formation’ runs for 2 weeks and will open to the public with a Private View on Saturday 8th January between 12-5pm at The Thames-Side Studios Gallery near Woolwich Arsenal.

In what has been another unique year, a group of 92 international artists participating in the 2020/2021 Turps Correspondence Course have contributed painted works to be shared with viewers in ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’ an online exhibition developed on the Cohort.Art platform.
In a unique year, a group of 29 London artists connected by the 20/21 Turps Correspondence Course worked in a back & forth dialogue with their mentors, not unlike the motion of an artist’s paintbrush across a canvas.
United by this and an interest in furthering questions of what painting & making could mean at this time, they present their first group show.
